While Nutone has discontinued most intercom product, sometimes the units can be repaired but from our experience is cost more to fix the old unit than it does to upgrade to the new Intrasonic retro kit kit.

With this unit we would use all of your old wires and replace the master station, room station, your patio station and your front door station. The Intrasonic will also let you connect your Iphone or your Ipod to play music through out your home.

While we recommend the Intrasonic Intercoms for replacing the not working Nutone intercom, there are other brands we have installed. M&S is a decent brand but a bit pricey.
